Fun with pegs and a new tooth

Another tooth poked through today (another top molar I think), bring Aurora up to 10 teeth!

Aurora learned a new game to play with her pegs. In the top and out the bottom.

Where did they all go?

You can't really appreciate this game without watching these two movies! (Save the file to your desktop and then double-click to watch. With a PC you can right-click on the link and then select the save file option.)

Belated Birthday Photos and July 4th

It's been a busy couple of weeks! Aurora has gotten her first molar and reached the big first birthday.

As much as Aurora enjoyed opening her cards and presents, the lasting favorite has been...the box. She loves to push the box, put toys in the box, take toys out of the box, climb into the box, etc.

Aurora is also learning how to draw, although she still seems more interested in what the crayons taste like than what they look like on paper.

We've also discovered that Aurora loves ice cream!

To celebrate all three of our birthdays, we had a BBQ in the park. The day was a bit windy and cold but still a lot of fun. Thanks to everyone who came! :)

On July 4th we made a concrete cast of Aurora's hand and foot print out in our backyard.

The wet, finished product.

Also on the 4th we went out to Golden Gate park and enjoyed a free concert. Aurora got to play with three 12 1/2 to 13 month olds who were all walking around. The next morning she decided that she was going to walk as well and has been cruising around ever since. She was also able to stand up all by herself and is very pleased with her new method of transportation.

Click here for a movie of Aurora walking that first morning (July 5th). (You may have to turn your head sideways.) [If the movie doesn't load, save the file to your desktop and then watch using Quicktime, etc..]

That's it for now, still coming are photos from Aaron's trip back from Colorado. More updates soon. :)
